The Saturday, August 16 episode of "It’s Showtime" turned into a grand fiesta as different barangays assembled to support their bets in “The Fiestacular Finals” of “Breaking Muse” and “Escort Mo Show Mo.”
After a week-long finale, only three finalists remained, carrying the banner of their barangays and proving that true beauty shines not in appearances alone but in the confidence, heart, and talent they bring to the world. The three finalists who vied for the crown in the “Breaking Muse” Grand Finals were Verna Tuliao of Brgy. BF International-CAA, Las Piñas City; Joyang Glorioso of Brgy. Sta. Catalina, Pagbilao, Quezon; and Chuchay Lagria of Brgy. San Isidro, Montalban, Rizal.
After parading in their kolong-kolong floats designed by their barangays—where Chuchay won Best in Kolong-Kolong and earned ₱20,000 for her community—the competition moved on to the talent showdown, judged by Board Members Anthony Jennings, Bianca Umali, Max Collins, Will Ashley, and Negi. Each finalist delivered leveled-up performances that highlighted not only creativity but also personal expression.
If she spun dangerously on a roulette wheel in her previous presentation, this time, Verna pushed the limits even further and literally reached new heights. Dressed in a fancy fuchsia gown, she belted "It’s All Coming Back to Me Now" while seated on the edge of the ABS-CBN building rooftop. Even Unkabogable Superstar Vice Ganda was stunned by her performance, quipping that Verna beat her to the dream of singing atop the ABS-CBN Building.
From Saging Queen to Queen of the Dance Floor, Joyang impressed in a jungle-themed SB19 medley of "Dungka" and "Dam." She combined live vocals with high-energy choreography and ended her performance being lifted mid-air while handing out bananas to the dancers, a nod to the branding she had built on social media.
This was truly Chuchay’s moment to shine as she showcased her vocal prowess with a heartfelt rendition of "This Is My Now" in a spectacle that unfolded like a fairytale. She began her singing while wrapped in a black shawl, and then the dancers took over the stage while voices of people saying negative comments about her played in the background. By the chorus part, Chuchay rose on a hydraulic lift in a stunning red dress, surrounded by pyrotechnic spark effects, her voice soaring as she sang from above.
In the second half of the competition, the Q&A round, the finalists drew the names of the Board Members who would ask them their respective questions.
Verna was asked by hurado Will about the most important lesson she had learned from joining the segment. Her answer drew loud applause as she spoke about authenticity and self-acceptance. "Itong contest na ito, naipakita namin na totoong may kagandahan din kaming maiaalay sa publiko," she said.
From once being doubted, she now stands tall believing in herself. "Dito dala-dala ko 'yong bata na dating binubully pero nandito ngayon at naniniwala sa sarili." She added, "Ang kagandahan na panlabas ay lumilipas. Pero kapag mayroon kang kaloobang wagas, hinding-hindi 'yon lilipas," before ending her heartfelt and tearful response with, "Maganda ako kahapon, ngayon at bukas."
Joyang then faced a pageant–worthy question from hurado Negi, who asked how she would explain her beauty to a blind person, to which Joyang answered that she would let it be felt through music, joyful memories shared with friends, and love that is true.
Finally, Chuchay was asked by hurado Max about the most beautiful thing that had ever happened in her life aside from her looks. She recalled not making it to "Tawag ng Tanghalan" in 2016, and now she's finally made it to the "It’s Showtime" stage, and this second chance is the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to her.
In the end, true beauty was not measured by outward appearance but by authenticity and heart. Verna of Brgy. BF International-CAA, Las Piñas City was crowned the Breaking Muse Grand Winner with an impressive 96.2%, while Joyang Glorioso followed with 92.6% and Chuchay Lagria secured 90.8% from the combined judges’ scores.
Verna took home ₱200,000, with an additional ₱50,000 awarded to her barangay.
