When you mix spontaneity and a whole lot of wit, you get Shuvee Etrata, the island girl who brightened up the "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition" house.
She's sunshine in human form, so it's no wonder her charm feels like a perfect fit for the vibrant, anything-goes world of "It’s Showtime." Shuvee has been spreading good vibes as a guest co-host in the show’s newest segments "Breaking Muse" and "Escort of Appeals," serving up moments that are so 'aliw' it's impossible not to laugh with her.
Here are some of her most entertaining moments that prove she was born to be a Showtimer.
Even Vice Ganda was amused when she asked Shuvee to define the word "wit," and then Shuvee answered, "Wit comes from 'we are a happy family.’" As to why the "T" was added, she explained, "Because we like the 'T.'" Vice looked a little stunned, or maybe nervous about where the punchline was headed, but Shuvee pulled through, saying, “T means we are together!” And based on how she did on her pilot stint, Vice already had a feeling it wouldn’t be Shuvee’s last day as a guest co-host.
We bet you didn’t see the plot twist coming when Shuvee called Escort Jeremy a perfect example of T-D-H, as in “T” for ‘’Tol” and “D” for dark. Then she paused for a bit before saying what “H” really stands for so she just went with “hello” instead.
Shuvee also won smiles with her unfiltered fangirl reaction when she found herself standing next to Anne Curtis onstage. It was giving Shuvee-meets-Donny-in-Bahay-ni-Kuya levels of starstruck! Our 'Shuvedoo' got shy, unsure if she could even touch Anne, and just kept whispering “I love you” on repeat to the noontime Dyosa herself.
It was triple the chaos when Shuvee got into a banter sesh with her fellow energetic Bisdaks, Maymay Entrata and Kim Chiu. Kulit really runs in the Bisaya blood, doesn’t it? Their convo was all over the place in the best way, and even if non-Bisaya speakers couldn’t catch everything, just watching them hype each other up was enough to put everyone in a good mood.
In another episode, Shuvee was definitely feeling a little inspired and kilig when the main hosts revealed that her real-life T-D-H (her persistent suitor, she said), Anthony Constantino, was actually in the studio. But she was in full work mode and jokingly claimed that she just found a new T-D-H in an audience member she hilariously described as “tall, dark… and haggard.”
Shuvee also proved that she knows how to keep things light and classy when Jhong Hilario impersonated Big Brother and threw a spicy question about which “Pinoy Big Brother” batch is better—her “PBB Collab” season or “PBB Gen 11,” represented by Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra, who were both in the studio as guest judges. Shuvee gave the most diplomatic answer, saying every batch is a success.
Vice Ganda agreed, pointing out that what really matters is that all ex-housemates are now thriving and "booked and busy." But trust Meme Vice to stir the pot a little more, joking that Shuvee is clearly the real Big Winner "kasi may jowa." Embarrassed but laughing, Shuvee hugged a random audience member and clarified that she's not officially in a relationship yet.
If "It’s Showtime" ever needs another dose of sunshine and kulit, they already know who to call—Shuvee's got that T-D-H combo, as in talent, delightful charm, and humor.
