Vincent (Enchong Dee) panics upon learning from Madeth (Xyriel Manabat) that Mia (Anne Curtis) drove to her hometown of Maravida after finding out that Patrick (Joshua Garcia) is already there. Without wasting a second, he orders Madeth to book the earliest possible flight.
Still confused, Madeth wonders aloud just how badly Mia wants to avoid her father, Samuel (Michael de Mesa), who is currently confined at OK Hospital. Vincent clarifies that it’s not the potential reunion between Mia and Samuel that worries him, but the chance that Mia might go back to their old family mansion.
As he and Madeth talk, the scene cuts to Mia already arriving at the abandoned estate. Vincent explains that Mia’s family once owned one of the grandest ancestral homes in the southern region of the Philippines, so beautiful, in fact, that it could be considered a national treasure. But over time, the mansion gained a dark reputation and became a haunted house.
Madeth suggests selling it, but Vincent says it’s not that simple. The property has been on the market for years, yet even brokers can’t find a buyer partly because of its haunting history, and mostly because of the terrible things that once took place inside those walls.
When Madeth asks what really happened to Mia’s family, Vincent replies that there are stories best left untouched, and wounds that only those within the family should ever face.
