Patrick (Joshua Garcia) manages to slip away from Mia (Anne Curtis), who followed him all the way to OK Hospital and was trying to persuade him to have dinner with her. Before she could press further, Nurse Olivia (Maricel Laxa) arrives and invites Mia to speak with Doc Anok (Bobot Mortiz) regarding her father, Samuel (Michael de Mesa). Inside the office, Mia keeps her words brief, making it clear that she isn’t there for Samuel and that she has no interest nor concern for his worsening condition caused by a brain tumor.
While that conversation unfolds, Patrick enters Samuel’s room and quietly tells the unresponsive man that his daughter came by. Seeing Samuel in that state reminds him of a time from his and Matmat (Carlo Aquino)'s childhood.
A flashback then shows a young Patrick (Nathan Bulalacao) and Matmat (Noel Comia Jr.) accompanying their mother, Tess (Meryll Soriano), to a mansion. Standing at the gate, Tess told them that she works there, and before heading inside, she warned her sons not to pass by the area where the local troublemakers usually hang around. Young Patrick noticed her boss, a younger Samuel (Geoff Eigenmann), standing nearby, before Tess walked off to begin her shift and left the boys to go on their way.
Back in the present, Patrick looks at Samuel and tells him to get better soon, because he might be the one to finally give him and Matmat the answers they’ve long been searching for about their mother’s death.
