Mia (Anne Curtis) asks Madeth (Xyriel Manabat) if there are any updates from her background check on Patrick (Joshua Garcia). She isn’t surprised to hear that his hometown is Maravida but
she’s caught off guard, though visibly amused, when Madeth tells her that Patrick is now working at OK Hospital, the same psychiatric facility where her father, Samuel (Michael de Mesa), is confined.
The news puzzles Madeth, knowing just how much Mia despises her father. But Mia brushes past the question and walks straight into her unit, pulling out an old notebook from her drawer—the same one where she wrote "Ang Prinsesa at ang Anino ng Kadiliman."
As she revisits the story, she remembers a young guy holding a red umbrella, following behind a young Mia to shield her from the rain. Back in the present, Mia smiles at the recollection, as if now certain of who that boy truly was and that they’re about to meet again soon.
