At the Romulo Pages Corp office building, Madeth (Xyriel Manabat) welcomed Patrick (Joshua Garcia), whom Vincent (Enchong Dee) had invited over to personally apologize for what Mia (Anne Curtis) did at the hospital, where Patrick had blocked a knife Mia nearly drove into a psychiatric patient.

Left alone while waiting for Vincent, Patrick passed the time browsing through a few of Mia’s books on display when Mia herself arrived, causing a stir in the office as the staff scrambled at the sight of her, hinting at how tense everyone feels around the popular children’s author. Madeth tried to stop Mia from entering the office where Patrick was waiting, but Mia simply brushed her off, determined to do as she pleased like always.

Inside the room, Mia walked straight up to Patrick and insinuated that he's just like everyone else, either after money or possibly even a night with her, but Patrick calmly replied that he isn't the type to be bribed. The assumptions fed into Mia’s arrogance, but Patrick made sure to shut it down, making it clear that he wasn’t there to flatter her. She paused when he added that the real reason he came was because of her, explaining that her eyes reminds him of someone he once knew, someone whose gaze looked lifeless and empty, with no trace of a conscience.

As he spoke, a flashback played showing a younger Patrick struggling to stay afloat in a river while a young Mia just watched, casually pulling petals from a flower, repeating “tutulungan, hindi tutulungan” with each pluck, as if she were deciding whether or not he's worth saving.

Back in the present, Mia challenged Patrick to admit whether that person—the one with the dead eyes and no conscience—ever scared him, but Patrick only smiled and said “Hindi ako natatakot sa kaniya… Gusto ko siya.”

The scene then cut back to another memory where a young Patrick was always seen following a young Mia around, and returned once more to the river to reveal that in the end, Mia did choose to help and pull him back to safety.
