Tension in the Guerrero family continues to rise as old wounds and long-standing resentment mix with their political disputes. Jackie (Angel Aquino) confronted her daughter Erika (Gillian Vicencio), insisting that she’d been ruining her life because of Santino (Ronwaldo Martin), whom the Guerreros, especially Miguelito (Jake Cuenca), openly despise.
This confrontation followed the argument at the dinner table where Miguelito accused Santino of stealing his shirt, unaware that it was their patriarch, Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero) himself, who had given it to Santino. The tension left Don Gustavo feeling unwell, though Erika later told her mother that his condition had already stabilized.
Erika, her voice edged with sarcasm, pointed out that it was actually Miguelito who always started trouble and added that Jackie should stop twisting the situation into some form of concern because she had never felt that concern to begin with. She went on to say that Jackie had done nothing but defend her favorite child, Miguelito, and admitted that over time this constant dismissal had hardened her emotionally to a point where she no longer cared about trying to win her mother’s favor.
Still speaking with the same cold bitterness, Erika told Jackie that she had always been treated like the family’s black sheep who needed fixing, without Jackie ever considering that what she had needed all along was affection and guidance from a mother, then warned her not to try acting like she suddenly cared because it's already too late for that.
