Despite overhearing them talk about their plans of finally changing their lives for the better, Ponggay (Maris Racal) seemed to still be not convinced that Tanggol (Coco Martin) and his group are really sincere in fulfilling it. Thus, she decided to finally reveal herself to them and demanded them to surrender.
She told Tanggol that they were already “amanos” or quits after she refused to follow their troop leader’s command to her to shoot him, as she seemed to have found it hard to harm the person who saved and cared for her. But since they’re already even and she was in uniform then, Ponggay was there to carry out her duty as a policewoman.
Since she was all by herself, the Montenegros ridiculed her, with Franco (John Medina) warning her that she didn’t know she was barking at. However, being the tough woman that she is, Ponggay told him that she didn't care and remained firm in her mission of making them surrender. They may have initially ignored her threats, but the Montenegros eventually pointed their guns at Ponggay after the friends of Tanggol aimed theirs at her upon catching sight of her.
