Despite being clearly outnumbered by the Quiapo Police, the group of Tanggol (Coco Martin) still managed not just to rescue his grandfather, Don Julio (Tommy Abuel), but also to escape—and that was all thanks to the last-minute hesitation of Ponggay (Maris Racal) to shoot Tanggol when she actually had the opportunity.
Seeing this, Hector (Aljur Abrenica) yelled at her as he ordered her to fire at Tanggol. But Ponggay still refused to obey him, so he jumped up from the ground despite sustaining a gunshot wound on his left shoulder, snatched her gun, and went on to repeatedly shoot Tanggol. Unfortunately, their collective efforts were put in vain as Tanggol wasn’t able to only escape, but to also hinder the police from coming after him by riddling the LPG cylinders inside the truck with bullets, which caused a massive explosion.
From being a sweet and romantic admirer to her over the past days, Hector instantly became a mad superior at her as he vehemently aired his frustration at Ponggay in front of their comrades for not following his orders, which completely compromised their mission. He even called her a disgrace to the police force, which made her further embarrassed, as well as speechless and emotional.
