An intense public uproar welcomed the city hall employees one morning as a group of fire victims stormed into the city hall to complain that many of their loved ones and neighbors got sick and had to be rushed to the hospital after consuming the relief goods their family had distributed to them, which they discovered were already expired.
Tindeng (Charo Santos), Roda (Joel Lamangan), and Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) were absolutely appalled upon learning about this, which motivated them to get to the bottom of this issue in order to help the people from their suffering under the leadership of the Guerreros.
As 35 members of Barangay Poblete were brought to the hospital due to food poisoning, not to mention that the issue had already spread on social media, Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) couldn’t help but panic and be angry since he didn’t want to be embroiled in any type of scandal, especially since he just got elected as mayor.
Thus, Roberto (Albert Martinez), who’s relatively more experienced, appeased Miguelito by instructing him to face his furious constituents and tell them that he’s already on top of the situation, while he took charge of the damage control. He also advised him to simply follow the script that he had sent him, and he would be good.
The Guerreros conducted a press conference to address the issue, with Miguelito announcing that they had already done their investigations regarding the problem and the findings revealed that the water supply in the evacuation center was contaminated. He promised to continue providing assistance to the fire victims, especially to those who got sick, as well as to bring forth a better healthcare system for the citizens of Manila.
As one of the reporters attested to the claims of the people regarding the expired relief goods, Miguelito simply reiterated his pronouncements. But he vehemently got mad after the reporter insisted that the Guerreros must have accountability to those who were stricken by food poisoning caused by canned goods they had distributed.
Before Miguelito could further explode, Roberto decided to finally take over and promised to investigate all the suppliers involved in the relief operations. As the same reporter asked them what their plan was for those who were hospitalized, Roberto declared that they wouldn’t have to pay their medical bills. He then lied through his teeth by saying that prior to this issue, the Guerreros were actually already discussing how they could improve Manila’s health care system by alleviating the conditions of the existing public hospitals and increasing the number of healthcare centers across the city.
Jackie (Angel Aquino) then grabbed the mic from Roberto to add that they were also donating ambulances to every barangay so that it would be easier and quicker to respond to emergencies.
As the aforementioned reporter asked them if the food poisoning victims are going to get anything from the government once it is proven that it was their expired relief goods that caused their ailments, the Guerrero’s executive assistant, Sandy (Sandy Aloba), suddenly cut the press conference before they could even respond and told the media that they would just send them a press release.
Miguelito gave the aggressive reporter a sneering look as he, Jackie, and Roberto walked out of the room.
