The elected councilors of Team Tanggol were indeed surprised to find out that they actually had an assembly with Vice Mayor Roberto Guerrero (Albert Martinez) that day since they were not able to receive any memo regarding their agenda, which was to discuss the ordinance for the proposed budget realignment.
Being the only voices of opposition in the meeting, councilors Evelyn Dumlao (Tess Antonio), Emilio Umali (Jun Nayra), and Tonyo Mercado (Nor Domingo) tried all their best to thwart the administration’s plan to cut the budget allotted for other sectors and transfer them to the infrastructure projects of the city. This caused an intense altercation between Team Tanggol and the Guerrero allies, as both of them defended what they believed was right.
Unfortunately, their petitions and arguments fell on deaf ears as the majority voted to agree with the budget realignment, which is the first step of the Guerreros to accomplish their plan of embezzling the funds of the city.
This prompted the three of them to walk out as soon as the session was adjourned, with Roberto thanking the remaining councilors for their cooperation and advising them to never listen nor allow their enemies to have a voice in the current administration. He further reminded them to be loyal to the right people because all of them are important to the city.
