KATSEYE’s Sophia Laforteza shares handwritten thank you letter from Olivia Rodrigo

Following the announcement of Filipino-American pop star Olivia Rodrigo’s all-women benefit festival Daisy Chain Fields, Filipino KATSEYE member Sophia Laforteza shared a heartfelt gesture from the singer-songwriter on social media.  

On her Instagram story, the Filipino idol posted a photo of a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten note from Olivia.

The letter, dedicated to KATSEYE members Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae, read, “I just wanted to say a massive thank you for being a part of this festival. You guys are superstars in every sense of the world and I am honored to share this bill with you girls. Thanks again, I cannot wait to watch you guys smash it!”

Sophia captioned the story, “counting down the days.”


KATSEYE is among the acts set to perform at Olivia’s Daisy Chain Fields festival. Proceeds from the festival will go to charities and non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls. Other performers include Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Mitski. Special guests include Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks. 

The festival will be held at Great Park in Irvine, California on August 29, 2026.

Sophia, who hails from the Philippines, made her debut as a member of the multinational girl group KATSEYE in 2024 through ‘The Debut: Dream Academy.’ The group has since been nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammy Awards 2026 and won New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. 

KATSEYE recently collaborated with fellow HYBE girlgroups LE SSERAFILM and ILLIT for ‘Iconic by Mistake’

Olivia, a Grammy Award winner, rose to fame with her debut single "driver’s license." She recently released the already record-breaking album ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,’ which became the most-streamed album in a single day by a female artist.

The pop star, born and raised in California to a Filipino father and German-Irish mother, previously performed in the Philippines for her GUTS world tour in 2024. 

The ticket proceeds from her concert in Manila went towards her global initiative, Fund 4 Good, which aims to provide direct support to non-profits dedicated to girls’ education, reproductive rights, and the prevention of gender-based violence.
