Kris Aquino’s much-awaited return to the screen is only getting started.
After making her comeback as Netflix Philippines’ newest C.H.I.K.A. (Chief Head of Insights and Kontent Analysis), fans can look forward to seeing more of the Queen of All Media this August.
Netflix PH and Kris surprised fans on August 7 when they unveiled her new role as part of a promotional campaign, marking her first major on-screen appearance in years.

The Instagram reel opens with Kris confidently walking into Netflix’s editing room, where she meets editor Earljohn and immediately takes charge.
"Hello everyone, good morning! Ako ang bago ninyong boss. The new Netflix C.H.I.K.A," Kris announced. "Are you ready para simulan na natin ang ating August campaign? Yes? Yes!" she excitedly added.
Fans were then treated to classic Kris Aquino as she gave her signature witty observations and suggestions on how to elevate Filipino series available on Netflix, namely A Secret in Prague, Blood vs Duty, and The Master Cutter.
From making emotional scenes hit harder and action sequences more thrilling to improving wardrobe choices with the editor, Kris embraced her new role with the charisma and candid personality.
"I love it! Ang bongga! We make a great team," she said to Earljohn. "All of these are Kris Aquino-approved. Watch them on Netflix!" the reel concluded.
But here's something you might have missed: the reel was labeled "Episode 1" in its first few seconds, meaning Kris’s C.H.I.K.A era with Netflix PH is far from over.
The first episode is part of a three-part promotional campaign of the streaming giant, with two more episodes scheduled to be released on August 14 and 20, respectively.
Viewers can expect to see more of Kris in her element as she continues to bring her signature humor, honesty, and unmistakable Queen of All Media energy to Netflix’s latest local offerings.
The announcement has also sparked an outpouring of support from Kris’s friends and fellow celebrities, who celebrated her return to the screen after several years away from the spotlight due to her health challenges.

Meanwhile, fashion designer Michael Leyva, who worked closely with Kris for the project, shared in an Instagram post how much he had hoped to see her return to doing what she loves. He also posted a glimpse of himself and Kris during the behind-the-scenes of the shoot.
“I specifically prayed to God for this day to come. I have always hoped for you to stay healthy and to be able to come back to doing what you love the most. People will come and go, but I will always stay by your side, forever. My heart is crying with joy to see the one and only Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, again in Michael Leyva. ❤️💛❤️💛❤️ iloveyousomuch ate @krisaquino 💛💛💛,” he wrote.
