After her last social media update last month, when she and her youngest son Bimby visited their family tomb in Parañaque City, Kris Aquino shared another update on herself and her sons last August 1, which also marks the 17th death anniversary of her mother, former president Corazon C. Aquino. In her Instagram post, Kris admitted she still feels sadness when thinking about what her mom went through before her passing in 2009.

She wrote, “17 years ago at 2 AM, we lost our mom. We accepted her death intellectually because we witnessed how much she suffered. But can someone you cherished ever be forgotten? Until now when I watch families in conflict, I say 'Sorry mom, you never deserved any of that.'”

Kris also shared how Bimby joined her that day after first completing his hosting duties that same day while his older brother Joshua visited their grandmother’s tomb in Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City where she is buried alongside her husband Ninoy Aquino and Kris’s elder brother and former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

“Bimb left the 47th anniversary celebration immediately after TVJ said their THANK YOUs because I was actually in the car from the time he 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 to sing Vic Sotto’s 'Ipagpatawad Mo.' (We are very honest, I love Bimb’s Maybe This Time, 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒌𝒐 𝒔𝒂 𝒀𝒐 made me cry because of the innocent emotions Bimb gave the song... “ she wrote.

In the same post, the Queen of All Media also revealed she is currently undergoing another form of treatment after going through several painful failed treatments.

“Kuya went to Manila Memorial, and Bimb went home to watch over me because I again tried another form of treatment which has worked for some international celebrities as well as a few friends. I promised my sons I was going to fight until the end. I have never given details about the treatments that failed, the nights I cried until sunrise because the bones from 3 inches above my knee all the way to my ankle and up to the soles of my feet hurt with such cruelty that I broke my rule and sobbed in Bimb’s arms. No child, especially one raised by a single parent should ever see the pain their mama or papa goes through because to worry is ours and not theirs.”

Kris also shared a touching moment she recently shared with her eldest son who gave her some comfort during one of the challenging moments in her treatment.

“Just last week, Kuya Josh was told by my nurses to let me sleep because I hadn’t slept well over 3 nights. I could hear kuya saying, 'fast only, say hello to mama only.' I buried my head further under the comforter not wanting him to see how much tissue I wasn’t fast enough to hide. Kuya saw my tear-streaked face. He pleaded, 'Mama please don’t cry, I love you, I’ll make you 𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒚. Mama here’s my arm.' Kuya knew being cradled in his left arm and lying down where I can almost hear his heartbeat is a source of comfort that gives me hope and reminds me just for whom I continue to fight. The next infusion is on Wednesday. Mom, please continue looking after your baby? Because i have 6’3" & 6’2" giant babies who pray everyday & believe that God does answer prayers. 💛”

Kris’s followers were also delighted to see their favorite TV host and actress recently reunited with her Kris TV family as seen in a recent post by Jasmin Pallera, former executive producer of Kris TV. The visit also included TV writer Darla Sauler, who was also part of Kris’s former morning talk show.
