MANILA -- Kris Aquino marked a quiet moment of remembrance for her brother, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, as she visited his resting place at the Manila Memorial Park on Wednesday.
In her Instagram post on Wednesday, Kris uploaded a snap of her visiting the tomb of Noynoy, who passed away in 2021 and was laid to rest beside their parents former President Corazon Aquino and former senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr.
Kris, who was in a wheelchair, was accompanied by her youngest son, Bimby.
She said they went early to avoid sun exposure, which is "a major trigger for a lupus flare."
Kris, who has been battling autoimmune diseases for years, also noted that the "weird weather has made me suffer from the worst rheumatoid arthritis flare."
Meanwhile, she also thanked all those who praised Bimby's hosting, noting that her son is a natural because he was "laking studio."
"Thank you for praising him for being humble and marunong makisama," she wrote.
The former president died on June 24, 2021 due to renal disease secondary to diabetes.
