Kapamilya actor Jake Ejercito ran a full marathon last February 22 at the Osaka Marathon held in Japan. In his Instagram post, he shared how it was not the race he hoped for but despite that, he earned a personal best.
A full marathon runs for 42.195 kilometers which runners usually prepare for months ahead as it is a strenuous race.

Jake ran for a total of 3 hours and 38 minutes and 20 seconds according to the time he posted–– averaging about 5 minutes and 10 seconds per kilometer. Despite the good time, the Kapamilya actor admitted how he "underestimated the distance” of the race.
“Underestimated the distance. Discipline faded late in the build and the marathon made sure I paid for it. Got ugly, but dug deep and stayed honest,” he wrote.
In his post, he shared a glimpse of the race’s course and the time interval between each kilometer he did. He also made sure to pose in front of the finish line as a sign of his achievement in completing the marathon.
“Not the race I hoped for. Still a PR, still moving forward,” he shared.
“Unexpected kababayan love on course too! Always a different kind of fuel,” he added.
Friends and fans of the Kapamilya actor congratulated him in the comment section of his post. Other netizens shared how inspired they are to run and compete as well because of his fitness journey.

Jake has been sharing his running journey with his followers on social media for quite some time already. Previously, he successfully ran the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon in Cambodia back in 2024.
“No legs, all heart! Finally popped that anything-that-has-'marathon'-in-it cherry and on the most majestic of courses,” he previously wrote.
