Kapamilya actor Jake Ejercito just completed another half marathon earlier this week at the recently held Iloilo Dinagyang Marathon. He shared to his followers on social media how his 21-kilometer run took a completely different turn from what he was expecting.
Jake ran for a total of 1 hour and 51 minutes and 39 seconds–– making it a personal record for him. He beat his previous record time of 1 hour and 55 minutes and 15 seconds after just a few weeks.

“Half mara no.2,” he wrote.
The Kapamilya star shared several photos and videos he collected which were taken by some of his fans who spotted him during the race. He revealed how he took a wrong turn during the course of his race, which made him unable to reach his target time of 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Due to his confusion during the race, he lost momentum and ended up adding another 1.5 kilometer to his total race distance.
“Was gunning for a sub-1:50 and was on track for the most part, but took a wrong u-turn due to an unclear and unmanned sign, which caused me to have to double back, adding another 1.5km to my total,” he shared.
Despite this, Jake remained positive about the experience and continued to cross to the end to finish what he started, as well as reaching his personal best.
“Losing all momentum, I had to scale it back and aim to just make it to the finish line,” he added.
