Jake Ejercito marked a new milestone in his running journey after completing the Budapest Spring Half Marathon.
On his Instagram page, Jake shared that he finished the half marathon in 1 hour, 44 minutes, and 24 seconds, which is his best time so far. He beat his previous record by 7 minutes and 15 seconds.
He attributed this new achievement to hard work and his faith. "Grind paid off, no plot twists— all Him," he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to those who supported him throughout the race.
"Appreciate all those who checked in! Biiig shoutout to @iyamaniya & @chinoalarilla for getting up early to make a surprise appearance and turning their e-tix into hype material! legends," he said.
Jake also revealed his next marathon destination. "Next up: Chicagooo," he unveiled.
Fans online were quick to react to Jake's post.
"Yahoo. Congrats Jake. Happy and proud of you. Galing," one fan commented.
"Congrats, nice progressive split, great pacing," another fan posted.
Back in January, Jake also completed the half marathon of the Iloilo Dinagyang Marathon.
"Half mara no.2 in Iloilo. Was gunning for a sub-1:50 and was on track for the most part, but took a wrong u-turn which caused me to have to double back, adding another 1.5km to my total 💀," he posted on social media.
He went on:"Still PR’d at 1:51:39. Official time 2:00:28 (22.7km). Salamat gid to all the langgas who hyped me up 🫶 Onto the next."
Aside from marathons, Jake also pursues hiking.

Back in September of last year, Jake went hiking in Scotland.
"6 days solo hiking the West Highland Way and Scotland pulled all the stops: 30km days, change in weather every 15 mins, a wild dip, midges— lotsa midges, wonderful strangers, even better sights," he posted last year.
"Overall beautiful, painful, and tougher than I had expected, but I’d do it all again," he remarked.
