Cai Cortez, husband expect baby boy

MANILA -- Actress Cai Cortez and husband Wissem Rkhami are expecting a baby boy.

Cortez, who is currently part of Kapamilya hit series "Tubig at Langis," announced the gender of the baby as part of her thank you message as they mark their first month as a married couple.

She called it "the happiest month of my life" and "the greatest decision I have ever made."

The two exchanged vows in a civil wedding ceremony at the Manila City Hall last month.

Tomorrow marks the first month that we have been together as husband and wife. The happiest month of my life. And the greatest decision i have ever made. We were planning to just have a small ceremony. Just you, me, my immediate family, your adopted family in the form of your friends, chosen witnesses and of course the very important guest who had a front seat in my belly 👶🏽 our plan was just to get civilly married in our store bought clothes, go to manila city hall and forever be one. We weren't planning for anything grandiose because we wanted to have the big celebration once our baby boy has arrived, but thanks to very thoughtful people we had just that. For a last minute wedding dress by the fab @martinbautista9 and @sabjose for talking me into it and and for lending me my "something borrowed". Our last min consultations and fittings will be forever kilig memories leading to the big day. @ninacortez316 for my bouquet(which i completely forgot i needed) and @xmacortez and @xycortez for convincing me that i needed a photographer present. To @iamfperez of team pat dy for lending us the oh so talented @joshuavgarcia, those pictures encapsulated all the emotions of that day for eternity and for our kids to enjoy. To my parents who were there for us every step of the way, we wouldn't be here without your guidance. To Wissem's family though they were not there physically, i know that I know that they were there spiritually. From day one they didn't waste any time to make me feel part of the family. And to you, the love of my life, thank you for loving me the way you do. A single glance from you makes me feel safe and complete. I couldn't ask for a better man to be the father of my Hbib 👶🏽 you will be a great father because i know that you are an amazing husband. I love you dubb 🐼

"We weren't planning for anything grandiose because we wanted to have the big celebration once our baby boy has arrived," she said of her wedding. "But thanks to very thoughtful people we had just that."

Cortez is confident that Rkhami will be a good father because he's an "amazing" husband.
