MANILA — Three-time Premier Volleyball League (PVL) MVP Brooke Van Sickle was glad to see the Nxled Chameleons stick together amid a shocking four straight losses in the 2026 All-Filipino Conference.
The Nxled skipper was proud as they finally ended that slide, beating Zus Coffee, 20-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-19, on Thursday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
"The four-straight loss, it wasn't happy times, but we're able to stick together. And I'm really proud of all the girls," said Van Sickle in the postgame interview.
"But, I feel like as a team, cohesively, we all understand what we need to do and what we need to get done. And we continue to push each other in the gym and stay together," she added.

She shared how they finally overcame the hump — by keeping a positive attitude.
"I think that's something super important for teams, like, going through losing streaks, is to be able to stay together," said Van Sickle, who dropped a 20-point night spread on 15 attacks, three aces, and two blocks.
"Because going through tough times, it's easy to be able to point fingers or be able to just be like, oh, well, it's not going our way, and kind of just, like, roll over. But we're really glad with this team that no matter what, we always come out and we're like, okay, new day, let's go. Let's keep a positive attitude. Let's keep trying to improve, like work."
As they brace for a new challenge, facing league-leading PLDT next, the Nxled star underscored that they will prepare "better," but was just grateful they broke the losing curse.
"Just looking forward to the next game. [We] just came off a win, let's celebrate it. But next, we got PLDT, and they're doing a fantastic job. So we have to prepare much better. And, you know, I think it was good that we broke the losing streak."
