MANILA – Petro Gazz rallied past sliding Choco Mucho, 20-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-17, as the preliminaries of the PVL on Tour wrapped up on Tuesday in Candon, Ilocos Sur.
Regardless of today's results, both teams have the chance to enter the next round through the knockout phase.

But what they were looking for in Candon was the crucial momentum — and it was Petro Gazz which claimed it, snapping a two-game slide.

In Set 4, the Angels found the much-needed points after somehow falling behind—but not too much—against the Flying Titans.
From a 12-15 deficit, the reigning All-Filipino champions unleashed a 13-2 finishing blitz to put the Choco Mucho side to sleep, sending them to a fourth straight loss.
With the win, Petro Gazz has secured a better seeding at fourth proceeding to the knockout stage, while Choco Mucho is at 5th, just above winless Galeries in Pool A.
The Angels did this after Koji Tsuzurabara's sudden exit from the team, giving Brian Esquibel a winning start as the interim head coach.
Myla Pablo powered Petro Gazz's offensive, top-scoring with 23 points on 19 attacks, three blocks, and one ace to go with 16 excellent receptions. Nicole Tiamzon added 16 points and 12 excellent digs, while Ranya Musa and Aiza Maizo-Pontillas delivered 10 markers each.
Cherry Nunag paced the defeated side with 17 points, while undrafted rookie Ayesha Juegos had a decent 16-point output in four frames.
