MANILA, Philippines – Premier Volleyball League president Ricky Palou said Tuesday at the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum that sanctions will be imposed if Alohi Robins-Hardy decides not to play for the team that would draft her.
This comes a day after Robins-Hardy said that if her name isn't called by Farm Fresh on Sunday, she will walk away from Philippine volleyball.
The PVL Rookie Draft 2025 is scheduled for Sunday at the Novotel Manila.

"We will not allow that," Palou said. "She cannot choose the team that she wants to play for. She needs to go to the Draft."
"If another team decides to draft her and she says she refuses to play for that particular team, there will be sanctions," the PVL executive added.
Palou said the league will meet to discuss supposed penalties for Robins-Hardy, if ever that happens.

"We still need to discuss what sanctions we will impose... Once you go to the draft and a team wants you, you have to play for that team or you won't play at all."
For her part, Robins-Hardy said it would be Farm Fresh or she would continue her career overseas.
"If another team drafts me, I’ll return to the US and continue my career overseas,” she said. “I’m not just here to play anywhere. I came back for Farm Fresh. That’s where my heart is," Robins-Hardy said Monday night through Farm Fresh-backer Strong Group Athletics.
