MANILA -- Veteran setter Alohi Robins-Hardy, one of the most prominent names in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft, made it clear on Monday night that she intends to only play for one team.
The Filipino-American player reiterated her commitment to the Farm Fresh Foxies and said she plans to return to the United States if she is drafted by another team.
"When I arrived last year, I made a promise to Tito Frank [Lao] and to Farm Fresh — that's the only team I will play for," said Robins-Hardy.
"I signed a five-year contract with them because I believe in what they're building," she added.
The 6-foot-1 playmaker was a fixture on the Farm Fresh bench last year and served as an assistant coach to the Foxies as well as to the UP Fighting Maroons in the UAAP.
Farm Fresh owns the third pick in the 2025 Rookie Draft, after Capital1 and Galeries Tower.
"If another team drafts me, I'll return to the U.S. and continue my career overseas," said Robins-Hardy. "I'm not just here to play anywhere. I came back for Farm Fresh. That's where my heart is."
Robins-Hardy, 29, previously played for United VC and Cignal HD in the now-defunct Philippine Super Liga, before taking her talents to overseas leagues in 2022.
She missed the PVL Rookie Draft Combine held last Friday and Saturday at the Paco Arena in Manila due to urgent personal matters in the United States, including the completion of necessary documents as she prepares to live full-time in the Philippines.
The PVL Rookie Draft is scheduled for Sunday at the Novotel Manila Araneta City.
