Meet Cignal's newest import, Katrin Trebichavska. PVL Media Bureau
RODRIGUEZ, Rizal — Katrin Trebichavska had a winning Premier Volleyball League (PVL) debut, helping Cignal escape in a five-set classic against Nxled, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14, in the 2025 Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the Ynares Center Montalban.
Trebichavska, a Slovak outside hitter, was the replacement of Eva Chantava, who was booted out after the Super Spikers started winless in two games.
With the win, the Super Spikers have now won two in a row, coming from a 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 rout of PLDT just this Tuesday.
Despite the win, Trebichavska saw her performance as "rough," despite putting up a double-double of 21 points, 10 excellent digs, and seven excellent receptions. She vowed to be better for the Super Spikers.
"Obviously, I'm super glad that we won. And it was, for me, it was a rough performance. And I hope I can just help the team more in the future," said Cignal's newest import.

On Tour MVP Erika Santos, who is celebrating her birthday today, October 25, tied her import's output with 21 points, made mostly on attacks.
Down two sets to one, the Super Spikers did not falter, forcing a deciding frame off a dominant Set 4 win, 25-15.
Nxled even led by three late at the 11-8 and 7-4 marks, but found the much-needed points from Santos and Trebichavska to keep Cignal in the game.
Paola Martinez, Nxled's import, put her team to match point after a kill on Ishie Lalongisip's hands, 14-13, but Trebichavska was there for the game-tying kill, finding the open spot on the Chameleons' side, 14-all.
Martinez, who had been delivering her A-game all-afternoon-long, suffered an unfortunate attack error, as Rose Doria-Aquino won a joust on the next play to close out the match that lasted two hours and 30 minutes.

"Sobrang happy, of course kasi panalo, win is a win pa rin kahit na five sets 'yan. And that's our goal, kailangan makakuha ulit kami ng panalo," said Cignal coach Shaq delos Santos.
Star libero Dawn Catindig had 17 excellent digs and nine excellent receptions, while standout setter Gel Cayuna steered the offense with 29 excellent sets.
Martinez's 38-point explosion — her best showing by far in the PVL — was down the drain as their side absorbed the loss, while captain Chiara Permentilla had 16 markers.
