Filipina tennis star Alex Eala during her meet-and-greet in Makati. Rom Anzures, ABS-CBN News.MANILA — Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala thrilled fans during her homecoming, fresh off her historic campaign in the 2026 Wimbledon Championships.
Eala, who became the first athlete from the Philippines to reach the third and fourth rounds of Wimbledon, received a hero's welcome on Wednesday at Glorietta in Makati.
It marked the third straight day that the 21-year-old star connected with fans during her brief return to the country.
Eala first spent time with tennis hopefuls and other select guests on Monday during her "Play Mind Games" meet and greet at Nike Fort in Bonifacio Global City.
The WTA World No. 28 then held a media availability during a press conference with BPI on Tuesday, where she reflected on her Wimbledon campaign while also expressing her desire to represent the country in the 2026 Asian Games.
Up next for Eala is the WTA 500 Mubadala DC Open in Washington, D.C., which runs from July 27 to Aug. 2, as she continues her build-up to the 2026 US Open.
