Double Olympic champion Carlos Yulo claimed the gold medal in the floor exercise final at the 13th Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Senior Asian Championships in Zunyi, China on Saturday, with younger brother Eldrew Yulo completing a historic podium finish by taking the bronze.
Carlos topped the field with a score of 14.700, while Japan’s Shoma Tsukiyama took the silver with 14.600.
Eldrew joined the podium with 14.300, making it a landmark moment for Philippine gymnastics as the brothers shared a senior-level medal podium for the first time.
It was also the first time the two competed against each other at the senior Asian Championships level.
Carlos still has two more event finals to contest on Sunday, while Eldrew will return for one more apparatus final.
