Korean-American singer Audrey Nuna, who rose in prominence for lending her voice to the animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," is set to headline the opening ceremony of the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia, organizers said Tuesday.
Nuna, 26, will perform at Perth Stadium ahead of the opening match between host Australia and the Philippines.
The Philippine women's national team progressed to the Women's Asian Cup after sweeping Group G in the qualifiers. In the 2022 edition of the tournament, they made it all the way to the semifinals and punched their ticket to the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023.
The Filipinas will enter the tournament with momentum, having won a first-ever gold medal in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in December.

Nuna will perform twice: ahead of kick-off between the Filipinas and the Matildas, as well as during a curated half-time show.
Her set will feature a mix of her solo material and "a special in-stadium performance" inspired by "KPop Demon Hunters."
In a statement, Nuna said she was thrilled to perform at the event.
"Being a part of this celebration of female grit and excellence, alongside fans of music, culture, and football, is a true honour, especially for my first time performing in Perth," she said.
Nuna also shared the news with a video on her Instagram account.
The 2026 FC Women’s Asian Cup will take place from March 1 to 21, across the host cities of Perth, Gold Coast and Sydney.
Prior to "Kpop Demon Hunters," Nuna already had a career as a singer and rapper, but she gained wider recognition as the singing voice of Mira, a member of the film's demon-fighting K-pop trio HUNTR/X.
