MANILA — A magnitude 5.8 quake struck the waters off Occidental Mindoro on Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake struck about 21 kilometers southwest of Mamburao at 10:38 a.m. It had a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremor may spawn aftershocks, Phivolcs warned.
