MANILA — Neighborhood restaurant Mimi & Bros has closed its Bonifacio Global City branch after eight years of operations, with management saying it is preparing to reopen in a new location.
In social media posts marking its final days, the restaurant thanked customers who had made it their go-to destination for meals, celebrations and gatherings over the years.
"While it's never easy to say goodbye to a place filled with so many memories, we're also incredibly excited for what's ahead," the restaurant said. "This isn't goodbye, it's simply see you soon."
The restaurant said it is already working on its next location but did not disclose where or when it plans to reopen.
Mimi & Bros had its last day in BGC on Friday, July 31, with a one-day promotion offering 50% off several of its signature dishes, including Fried Chicken Sisig Bowl, Lola's Ragu, Truffle Mushroom Pasta, Bro's Bagnet and its chicken wings.
The restaurant opened in Bonifacio Global City in early 2018 on 32nd Street, taking over the former Gram's Diner space.
It was established as a neighborhood dining spot inspired by the garden of the owners’ former family home.

Over the years, Mimi & Bros built a following for its comfort food, particularly its fried chicken, ribs, pasta and rice bowls, as well as its casual atmosphere that made it a popular neighborhood hangout in Bonifacio Global City.
The restaurant did not disclose the reason for the closure of its BGC branch.
