Content creator Rei Germar kicks off the Singapore Tourism Board's new campaign for the Philippines, "SG? Sige, G!" Handout
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has rolled out a new campaign that encourages visitors to rediscover the city-state through spontaneous experiences.
At the heart of "We Don't Wait For Fun" is the idea that travelers can enjoy Singapore simply by following their curiosity, without the need to spend months planning the perfect getaway.
The global slogan targets mainly young professionals who are looking to make the most out of their time away from home, and highlights Singapore's diverse offerings despite its compact size.
To bring the campaign closer to its Filipino market, STB has introduced the localized phrase "SG? Sige, G!", inspired by the popular expression of saying yes to last-minute plans.
"Filipino travelers, especially early-career professionals, are increasingly seeking destinations that offer a mix of discovery, excitement, and convenience," said Terrence Voon, Singapore Tourism Board's executive director for Southeast Asia.
"Singapore's diverse experiences and ease of getting around allow travelers to make the most of every moment," he added.
"Through 'We Don't Wait For Fun', we invite Filipinos to experience Singapore in ways that feel personal, adventurous, and memorable."
STB has tapped content creator Rei Germar to lead the "SG? Sige, G!" initiative. Through her platform, she has been showcasing unique experiences around Singapore such as a morning run at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a traditional tingkat painting workshop, and visits to creative spaces in New Bahru and the vibrant streets of Joo Chiat.
"Some of my favorite moments in Singapore weren't necessarily the ones I planned for, they were the spontaneous discoveries, detours, and unexpected experiences I decided to try on a whim," Germar said. "That's what made the trip so memorable for me."
