On his way to gather a scoop for his soon-to-be-launched TV program, Manila Telebalita news reporter Salvador Manalo (Rey Campanilla) had no idea that he was already being followed by a group of goons, who were later revealed to be working for Django (Jhong Hilario).
Upon entering a flooded alley, Salvador was ambushed as the goons blocked his way and forced him out of his vehicle. They pointed their guns and knives at him and mercilessly beat him up. Fortunately, Gabo (Coco Martin), who happened to be passing by on his way home, arrived at the scene and came to Salvador’s rescue. Using his brass knuckles and exceptional combat skills, he single-handedly took down the hooligans.
After defeating all the attackers, Gabo approached Salvador, who was still trembling in fear. He assured him that he had no intention of hurting him and asked why the men had attacked him. Unaware that the goons were actually sent by Django to silence him under the orders of PLTCOL Romulo Domingo (Art Acuña) and former PMGEN Ricardo Jacinto (Edu Manzano), Salvador told Gabo that they might have simply been trying to rob him.
Beyond simply expressing his gratitude, Salvador offered Gabo a sum of money as a token of appreciation. Though he initially declined the offer, Gabo eventually accepted after Salvador's persistence, as he badly needed the extra cash—especially after the motorcycle he borrowed without permission was damaged during the encounter.
