Despite being told by NCIA Director Fernando Delgado (Soliman Cruz) to stop pursuing the gold-smuggling syndicate case, Sam (Julia Montes) remained determined to finish the mission originally assigned to her and her team. Although she was fully aware of the possible repercussions, Sam was resolved to prove Pia (Katherine Luna) wrong after receiving a negative evaluation from her.

Disguising herself once again as "Carlota," a customer interested in doing business with Mr. Chan, the Chinese owner of a jewelry shop in Binondo. He happens to be a client as well of the influential Zafra family currently being led by its scion, Victor (JM de Guzman). Sam reached out to Mr. Chan (Mike Castillo) through the phone number indicated on the business card that he handed to her on their first encounter.

Fortunately, Mr. Chan (Mike Castillo) agreed to meet her at the warehouse where he stored his gold and other merchandise, allowing Sam and her partner, Agent Karen Limbaga (Via Antonio), to gain access and observe the operation firsthand.

Clearly captivated by Sam's beauty, Mr. Chan even offered her a 70% discount on everything she wished to purchase and invited her to accompany him to China for a shopping spree. However, Sam politely declined, insisting that she was there strictly for business.

However, Col. Domingo rejected the idea, explaining that Paquito (Rez Cortez)—Django's father—had long been their go-to man for handling jobs they could not do as uniformed personnel. Because of this, they had already earned his trust. He advised PCPT Umali to simply overlook their abrasive demeanor since they were criminals, after all. What mattered most was that their problem would finally be taken care of.

Meanwhile, Django had already relayed their latest mission to his minions, instructing them to scare Salvador—whom he dismissed as a small-time reporter—by robbing and beating him up. Aside from being Gen. Jacinto's biggest critic, Salvador had also been continuously reporting on the foiled demolition of Ginintuang Lupa and the shooting of Rudy (Joey Marquez), crimes for which Django was responsible. For that reason, Django wanted to silence him as well.

After arrogantly declaring, “Walang ka-challenge-challenge! Ni hindi man lang ako pagpapawisan diyan! Kayang-kaya n'yo na 'yan, ha?” Django had no idea that Paquito had overheard him and was displeased by the arrogance and complacency he displayed. Paquito summoned his son and reminded him not to underestimate any job entrusted to them, regardless of whether it was big or small, and to treat every assignment with equal importance.

Django's stepmother, Ibyang (Aleck Bovick), then reminded him that they needed police protection because of their illegal businesses. When Django argued that it was only fair—or "quits"—since the police also needed them, Paquito explained that they needed the police more than the police needed them. He then urged Django to be more thorough in carrying out his latest assignment.

Seemingly dejected, Django assured Paquito that he would personally handle the mission well before walking away.
