Sam (Julia Montes) and her team thought they had successfully completed their latest mission by capturing notorious gold-smuggling syndicate leader Victor “Tigre” Zafra (JM de Guzman) and that she was finally on her way to a promotion, she instead faced the possibility of suspension.
This came after their chief, Pia Catacutan (Katherine Luna), flagged several violations in the report she submitted to their director, claiming that Sam’s actions could have endangered the agents’ lives and placed their entire mission at risk. Although Sam was the one who worked tirelessly to make the operation a success, Pia gave most of the credit to their colleague Seb (JC de Vera), who had long been pursuing her.
After learning about the situation directly from Sam, Seb tried to comfort her by offering words of encouragement and attempting to lift her spirits. He also invited her to a dinner date at a French restaurant in Makati City.
However, Sam immediately turned him down. She told Seb that she did not need the kind of comfort he was offering, saying that what she really needed was to get rid of her stress—and that his presence was only adding to it at that moment. Hurt by her words, Seb walked away looking disappointed and heartbroken.
Sam explained that she was not looking for anything specific because she was not searching for a boyfriend in the first place. However, if she eventually met someone who could make her fall for him, she said she would be happy with simple things—like eating street food together—as long as the person was fun to be with, not irritating, and someone who could genuinely make her happy.
