Taking some time off from their pressure-packed assignments and the unsettling plot twists that placed their characters in difficult circumstances, the brilliant cast of “Blood vs Duty” were all eager to take part in this light-hearted exclusive interview, sharing their favorite ideas that ultimately complete their perfect days.
The versatile Baron Geisler, who precisely embodied the two-faced Felix Domingo, certainly made the love-filled choice of spending one whole day with his family. “One whole day with my kids and my wife na nagbo-bonding lang kami [at] nagtatawanan. Sobrang sarap [sa] feeling, hindi ko ipagpapalit,” he articulated.
As for an ideal day that can be affected by the weather conditions, Elmo Magalona, also referred to as Agent Harold Rustia on the show, would rather take pleasure in physical activities such as running outdoors when it’s not too warm.
Being one of the major protagonists of “Blood vs Duty” as Jalil Abubakar, the hard-working and humble Gerald Anderson naturally considered his working hours dedicated to filming an integral part of his perfect day.
On Mondays, Rommel Padilla refreshes his ideal way of living while remaining equally committed to fulfilling his duties as Director Emil Azuelo. “‘Yun ang umpisa ng linggo so kailangan maibigay lahat,” he explained.
From his unforgettable television debut in “Batibot” to playing compelling theatrical roles and most recently being in the spotlight as the antagonist General Carillo in “Blood vs Duty,” Bodjie Pascua continues to find his best times revolving around quiet reading sessions, family gatherings, and filming on set.
“Kahit na sabihin mong retirable na ako, I still love working. So, another version of a perfect day for me is doing very well in a very difficult scene with an actor or actress that I truly respect… I’ve had several perfect days of that kind dito sa ‘Blood vs Duty,’” Bodjie added.
Just like most of the cast members, Raul Montesa, who appears as Colonel Dionisio, enjoys spending quality time with his family, making it the most important thing to have a day to remember.
Similar to Raul’s answer, Junjun Quintana, recognized as SPO2 Sean Suarez in the series, would constantly see a wonderful day whenever his loved ones are free of illness. “When my family is okay, no sickness or anything like that,” he expressed.
Task Force Alpha recruits Lou Yanong and LA Santos have different views regarding what constitutes their greatest days. Lou always tries to have walks in the park while listening to music, which is particularly helpful when she finds herself sad or unmotivated. On the contrary, LA treasures meeting fans at events such as concerts, mall shows, or fiestas.
Another fellow TFA operative, River Joseph, has three things that he must accomplish to have an enjoyable day, including job-related tasks, catching up with family as well as friends, and finally getting some exercise. “All those three in one day—for me, that’s a perfect day,” he stated.
Jaime Fabregas a.k.a Datu Rahman gets a feeling of a special day when he simply takes a pause and peacefully strolls around.
To finish off, two of the Special Investigations Division’s IT operators, Ace Carrera and Binsoy Namoca, were also present in the conversation, with Ace summing up his favorite day every moment he takes on his role in “Blood vs. Duty.” Meanwhile, Binsoy takes time to connect with those he considers important in his life.
