Along with the spectacular action sequences and strong, compelling narrative, “Blood vs Duty” most certainly draws in the hearts of Kapamilya viewers through its incredibly charismatic characters, whose palpable personal aspirations are clearly established and understood, even more so by the actors and actresses who have given life to their complex stories.
In this exclusive interview, Bela Padilla, Baron Geisler, Barbie Imperial and Gerald Anderson and Richard Gutierrez, all voice uplifting personal messages to their characters who are currently traversing the turbulent chapters of their lives in the show.
For Bela, portraying the exceptionally skilled Lara Angeles, she highlighted Lara’s interesting personality and is undoubtedly keen to get more glimpses of it in the upcoming episodes. “I’m amazed at everything you’re doing right now,” Bela mused.
Another infuriating character that Baron personified throughout his career is Felix Domingo, one of the members of Task Force Alpha, who is frequently seen acting suspiciously, even deliberately endangering the lives of his supposed allies.
“Felix, relax ka lang, pare. Huwag kang masyadong magpadala sa init ng ulo,” Baron quipped.
And finally, Barbie, having taken on the empowering identity of Jamilah Abubakar, the sister of Jalil, sincerely wished for her character’s unwavering determination despite the terrible events arising.
“Stay strong, kapit lang… Mahahanap niya rin or maliligtas niya rin kung sino ‘yung gusto niyang iligtas,” Barbie shared.
Gerald also gave encouragement to Jalil Abubakar, whose role is the heroic son of Datu Rahman (played by Jaime Fabregas). Jalil aims to safeguard all of his fellow Muslims from the oppression of other groups and is getting ready to rescue Datu Rahman and take vengeance against Marcus.
“Jalil, huwag kang tumigil lumaban,” Gerald reminded.
Richard, who embodies Task Force Alpha’s head agent, Marcus Reyes, sought to boost the morale of his character. Marcus currently embarks on a personal quest to figure out the truth concerning his team’s failed mission in Zamboanga while also facing intense condemnation for the massacre of civilians, which he did in fact attempt to prevent.
“Marcus, keep going… Keep proving everyone that you’re doing the right thing and don’t give up,” Richard expressed.
