After spending the weekend guessing lyrics and sharing life stories, the Songbayanang Gen X and Millennial Singles finally advanced to the “Everybody GuesSing” Sunday jackpot round with 78 seconds remaining on their timer.
The objective of the game was for the entire Songbayanan to work as one team and successfully identify all 10 song titles by listening only to the instrumentals played for them. Each correctly guessed song title would earn them ₱20,000. Achieving a perfect score of 10 would win them the community-singing game show’s coveted ₱1 million jackpot prize.
Slow but sure was the Songbayanan’s strategy in their first attempt to name the song titles, taking their precious time to carefully listen to the melodies of each song. By the end of the initial guessing round, their time was down to 25 seconds, and they had successfully identified five song titles.
On their second try, the Songbayanang Gen X and Millennial Singles correctly named three more song titles, moving closer to their dream of taking home one million pesos. They eventually identified the ninth song title in the sequence during their third attempt.
After 18 seconds of the Songbayanan trying to determine the final song title, Vice Ganda announced that they failed to name April Boys’ “Ganyan Talaga Ang Pag-Ibig,” falling short of the ₱1 million jackpot prize.
Recognizing the Songbayanan’s hardships and sacrifices, the Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar took the initiative to pitch in ₱30,000 to their total winnings. With ₱40,000 from the “Singko Blanko” round and ₱180,000 from the “Everybody GuesSing” jackpot game, the Songbayanang Gen X and Millennial Singles shared a total of ₱250,000 among themselves.
