Continuing the conversation about wholesome encounters with TNVS drivers, comedian Petite shared a humorous fictional story about booking a ride with Funchum—one of the fifty (50) Songbayanang TNVS Drivers on the set of “Everybody, Sing!”. In jest, Petite noted that both she and Funchum had a hard time getting into the vehicle, playfully highlighting their beautifully round body shapes.
Host Vice Ganda also shared a personal story, noting that TNVS drivers and riders are some of the most engaging people to strike up a conversation with. Taking a trip down memory lane, the “Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar” fondly recalled a time when an ordinary taxi ride led her to an unexpected friendship with a taxi driver.
The story began when Vice was still performing at a comedy bar in Malate. At the time, she frequently rode with the same taxi driver after finishing work past midnight. As they grew closer, the driver eventually made it a habit to wait for her at the end of her shifts.
Over time, the taxi driver came to know Vice during some of her most vulnerable moments, even witnessing her shed tears on difficult nights. They gradually opened up to one another and became companions during those late-night rides. However, their arrangement did not last long. Sensing the situation becoming more complicated, the taxi driver chose to stop waiting for Vice, unsure of how to navigate his growing emotions for her.
