He brought the house down with his performance of “Magellan,” earning him enthusiastic praise from the judges, celebrity performers, and even hosts Jhong Hilario and Vhong Navarro for how perfectly he captured not just the look and singing but even the icon's speaking voice as well.
Katrina Velarde as Regine Velasquez - “Narito Ako”
Powerful and excellent. These two words do little to describe Katrina Velarde’s Round 5 number as her childhood idol Regine Velasquez. Her singing was so impressive that even Ogie Alcasid — Regine’s husband —was reminded of his wife’s standing-ovation performance of the same song, “Narito Ako.”
Jona Viray as Mariah Carey - “All I Want for Christmas Is You”
Mariah Carey’s magic lit up the Christmas-themed episode of “YFSF” as Jona transformed into the diva herself and performed ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’"
Elha Nympha as Donna Summer - “Last Dance”
Round 7 turned up the retro vibes with a special guest transformation from powerhouse young singer and “YFSF” alumna Elha Nympha, who paid tribute to the one and only disco queen, Donna Summer.
Bringing the house down with her rendition of “Last Dance,” Elha delivered a dazzling, feel-good segment that had everyone grooving.
Darren Espanto as Gary Valenciano - “Shout for Joy”
Darren Espanto stole the spotlight as a guest celebrity performer as he stepped out of the ‘Iconator’ and brought Gary Valenciano to life with his vocals and signature dance moves.
Although fans have heard him impersonate Mr. Pure Energy before, this marked his first full-scale production of the act. Stepping out of the ‘iconator,’ Darren brought the house down, impressing the jury—Sharon Cuneta, Ogie Alcasid, Klarisse De Guzman, and Nyoy Volante—and the other performers with not only Gary’s powerful vocals but also his iconic dance moves in an electrifying rendition of “Shout For Joy.”
Karla Estrada as Lady Gaga - “Always Remember Us This Way”
A decade since her last appearance on “YFSF” as one of the celebrity performers in Season 1, Karla Estrada made a surprise grand comeback on the show for the Round 9 of Season 4—not only as a guest celebrity performer, but also as a guest judge, as she filled in for absent judges Ogie Alcasid and Sharon Cuneta.The Queen Mother delivered a poignant performance of “Always Remember Us This Way” as she transformed into the ‘Mother Monster’ herself, Lady Gaga.
Awra Briguela as Jennifer Lopez - “On the Floor”
Nine years after winning the first season of “YFSF Kids,” Awra Briguela returned as a guest celebrity performer in the February 15 episode.
Transforming into seasoned global superstar Jennifer Lopez, she stunned everyone with her show-stopping performance of “On The Floor.”
Sofronio Vasquez as Elvis Presley - “If I Can Dream”
Global singing champion Sofronio Vasquez wowed the “YFSF” audience with his vocals as he transformed into Elvis Presley as a guest performer.
Sofronio took us straight to the peak of the rock and roll era, channeling Elvis in a performance so spot-on it earned a standing ovation from the celebrity performers and judge Ogie Alcasid. Though admittedly nervous, he enjoyed every moment on stage."
Kai Montinola as Lea Salonga - “I’d Give My Life for You”
“PBB Gen 11” alumna Kai Montinola unleashed burning potential as she transformed into Lea Salonga, performing “I’d Give My Life for You” from “Miss Saigon.” From the look to the emotions and the vocals, Kai fully embodied Lea’s Broadway character Kim, giving it her all, as she holds so much respect for the icon who brought pride to the Philippines.
After weeks of show-stopping performances and jaw-dropping transformations, the much-anticipated grand finals of "Your Face Sounds Familiar: The Grand Showdown" officially kicked off last April 5 (Sunday).
The competition reaches its ultimate peak as the seven celebrity performers Akira Morishita, Alexa Ilacad, Dia Mate, Jarlo Base, Jason Dy, JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano, and Rufa Mae Quinto face off in the all-out showdown.
