Despite the escalated severity of the crossfire, Jalil (Gerald Anderson) carries on running around in a frantic attempt to save his people from being slaughtered. He heroically leaps into a burning hut, rescuing the ill and the trapped ones incapable of running away from imminent doom.
As he watches the young daughter of a woman he saved rush to him in tears, the moment made worse by the chaos around him, Jalil screams with agony. He then wanders around more, visibly distraught.
In spite of this, he readily fights back against a hostile Felix (Baron Geisler), who first shoots him. They battle each other until Jalil renders Felix unconscious. When Jalil witnesses one of his father’s men killed in front of him, he mourns, violently tearing his shirt apart, not even bothering with his soot-covered body, and picks up a sword.
With Task Force Alpha’s mission compromised, Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) strives to evacuate a severely wounded Oliver (Geoff Eigenmann) to safety. Jalil then comes up to him and, with no hesitation, charges at him in fury.
While the two men fight to the point of death, sword versus gun, Jalil bitterly argues that his community has been living in peace untainted until Marcus’ unit wiped them out. Responding to this, Marcus clarifies that all they have to capture is Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas).
Equally strong, they reached the peak of their strengths in one final brawl, which ended fatally with a recovering Felix throwing a bomb between them.
