Matthew (Rafael Rosell) seeks Claudia’s (Sofia Andres) help to plot Vincent’s (Paulo Avelino) downfall in the April 6 episode of “The Alibi.”
Norman (Marvin Yap) voices his confusion about Walter’s (Sam Milby) case to Ricardo (Ian de Leon), who tells him they must go through the statements they compiled, detail by detail, to find answers. “Malakas ang kutob ko na lahat sila may tinatago o kaya may pinagtatakpan,” Norman conveys.
As more evidence resurfaces pointing to Vincent, it also reveals that everything has been orchestrated by none other than Claudia and Matthew. “Mukhang si Vincent ang mananagot,” Claudia declares confidently as she tells Matthew, who is satisfied that everything is unfolding according to their plan.
“Do we really have to go this far?” Claudia asks. Matthew assures her that they are off to a good start, with more of his plans about to unfold soon. A flashback then shows how Matthew disseminated Vincent’s deepfake video confessing to Walter’s murder, sabotaged his relationship with his employees at Cabrera News, and even paid off Anika (Kim Tubiano) and Sugar (Yesh Burce) to obtain a clip allegedly showing Vincent assaulting a bar customer.
To further strengthen his scheme, Matthew persuades Claudia to turn against Vincent. “Ganyan ka ba ka-desperadong makuha ang Cabrera News? Kahit ang mismong kapatid mo ang makulong sa krimen na hindi naman niya ginawa,” Claudia reminds him. But Matthew counters that Vincent is only his adoptive brother. “Parang bago ka sa pamilyang ‘to? Magaling magtakip ng problema ang mga Cabrera. At ‘yun ang mangyayari kay Vincent.” He tells Claudia he will do everything to get rid of Vincent.
Matthew's ruthless plans against Vincent are only just beginning. Don’t miss “The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan” weeknights at 8:45PM on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook. Episodes drop seven days ahead on iWant.
