Mona (Alma Moreno) confronts Vincent (Paulo Avelino) about Stella's (Kim Chiu) problems in the April 16 episode of “The Alibi.”
Vincent attempts to visit Stella at the bar to talk to her. Charlie (PJ Endrinal) and Bubbles (Johaira Omar) try to stop him, but he tells them that he doesn't want to hurt anyone or make a scene. Mona goes up to Vincent as he walks toward the dressing room.
He explains to Mona that he just wants to clear things up with Stella, but Mona refuses to let him. “Sobrang nasaktan si Stella, napahiya, nayurakan. Hindi pa ba sapat yung ginawa niya sa’yo?” Mona asks, before dragging Vincent out of the bar. Stella cries as she overhears everything while hiding from Vincent, then watches him walk out of the premises.
The next day, Mona is amused to find Vincent still at the entrance of the bar, waiting for Stella. “Mama Mona, kung kailangan ko hong maghintay magdamag dito para makausap si Stella, gagawin ko ho,” Vincent says, and Mona dotes on how stubborn he is, even adding that he matches Stella with her being tough-hearted.
Mona lightly slaps Vincent in hopes of finally getting him to listen, shocking him. She explains that Stella only keeps her bravery as a façade, never expecting her life to become messy once she got involved with Vincent. Mona pins him as the one at fault, yet points out that Stella still cares about him despite everything.
“Marunong siyang magpahalaga ng kaibigan, kaya grabe siyang masaktan.” Mona asks Vincent if he was ever a good friend to Stella and cared about her the same way she did, leaving him outside.
