As soon as Jalil (Gerald Anderson) gains consciousness after barely making it through the massacre, he speaks with his sister, Jamilah (Barbie Imperial). In tears, she discloses the circumstances in which their father, Datu Rahman (Jaime Fabregas), was captured and imprisoned in Manila, as well as her decision to keep silent about Jalil’s survival.
Taking everything in, Jalil begins to cry while agonizing over possible reasons why their quiet lives had been destroyed and why his innocent folks were brutally slaughtered even though they did nothing wrong. Jamilah then shares the news of Marcus (Richard Gutierrez) commanding the harrowing mission upon their village, causing Jalil to think back on his battle with him, the man who wrecked their community and took away Datu Rahman.
In spite of his conversation with Jamilah, Jalil still finds himself haunted by the massacre and keeps recalling the moments during which he desperately protected his people from a torrent of bullets. He eventually catches up with the rest of the survivors and pledges to rescue Datu Rahman and impose revenge on those who violated them.
Follow Jalil’s arc as he seeks justice for Datu Rahman and his people in “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8 PM on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
