In “The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan,” Claudia Cabrera unfolds like a rose with hidden thorns—guarding secrets that quietly spiral into devastating consequences for her family and her husband, Vincent (Paulo Avelino). As her carefully crafted façade begins to crumble, her true nature is revealed, each falling petal exposing the haunting truths she tried so hard to conceal.

Breathing life into Claudia is Sofia Andres, who, beyond her past kontrabida roles, levels up her game with a performance that’s sharp and calculated. Here are 10 unforgettable moments from “The Alibi” where Sofia’s portrayal of Claudia left viewers stunned.

1. Claudia shifts Vincent's attention

Vincent finds Bea’s (Ayesha Bajeta) personal nanny helping her get to sleep. He asks about Claudia’s whereabouts, who soon shows up after attending to her errands for Arthur’s (John Arcilla) birthday celebration. Vincent complains about Claudia’s behavior, noticing that she isn’t wearing her wedding ring either.

Claudia searches for it inside her bag. “Maluwang na kasi. You know, wine, they have calories,” she reasons, even though the accessory fits her just fine. To divert Vincent’s focus, she hugs him tightly, expressing how much she missed him, and succeeds in doing so.

2. Claudia's disappointment in Vincent

Vincent catches Claudia and Walter (Sam Milby) in the act of infidelity, but instead of confronting them immediately, he retreats to their room to wait. When Claudia arrives, he faces her with restrained fury, carefully concealing just how much he knows. Tension simmers beneath every word as Claudia turns the tables, voicing her deep disappointment in him as a husband. With cutting cruelty, she delivers a line that strikes at his core. “You’re a loser, Vincent. Kaya pati ‘yang tatay mo, hindi ka pinagkakatiwalaan.”

She adds that Vincent is desperate to prove himself, which is why he is eager to be the head of their company. “Cabrera News practically became your mistress. Kaya nga ako nag-file ng annulment dati, ‘di ba?” This fires up Vincent’s emotions. “I can take bullshit from everyone but not you. You’re supposed to be my family.” But Claudia only reiterates that Vincent cannot fix everything, before leaving him alone.

3. Discovering Walter's death

Seeing him come home the next day, Claudia asks where he went after she left him at the resort, convinced that Vincent is spiraling over his failure to be appointed CEO of Cabrera News, “Oh my god, all this over a promotion?”

Vincent warns her not to be too complacent, insisting there are deeper reasons behind his behavior.  “Bakit, hindi nga ba?” she fires back.

Before the tension can escalate further, both Vincent and Claudia receive separate phone calls revealing what has happened to Walter.

4. Claudia suspects Vincent is behind Walter’s death

As the investigation into Walter’s death continues, several pieces of evidence begin to point toward Vincent, who had visited Walter just moments before he died. Claudia becomes increasingly convinced of his involvement, especially after recalling his anger over Walter securing the CEO position at Cabrera News.

“Sinugod mo siya, wala ka buong gabi. Walang ibang kilalang kaaway si Walter kundi ikaw.” Claudia points out how the situation provokes Vincent, suggesting this could be the reason he might have killed Walter. “So asan ka nga nung gabing ‘yon? Anong ginagawa mo? I just want to know the truth.” This pushes Vincent to turn the accusation back on Claudia, questioning why she seems so affected by Walter’s death.

5. Evidence points to Claudia

Ricardo (Ian de Leon) meets with Claudia, showing her a photo of her wedding ring found inside Walter’s villa on the night of his death. It can be recalled that it slipped from her finger while she was being intimate with Walter. Claudia keeps a composed expression as Ricardo asks her who the accessory might belong to.

6. Vincent threatens Claudia

Vincent reveals to Claudia that he caught her and Walter together at the resort. He admits that although he had the chance to confront them immediately, he chose not to, as their daughter suddenly appeared beside him, and he did not want Bea to discover what was happening.

“Ginagamit mo pa si Bea. Ano ’to, is this a product of your insecurity kay Walter?” Claudia exclaims, dismissing Vincent’s accusations as nonsense. Vincent then threatens Claudia, saying he will inform the police about their secret affair, which would surely ruin her reputation.

7. Claudia wants more company shares

The revelation about Stella and Vincent’s relationship shakes the Cabrera family, prompting Claudia to meet with Vincent’s parents, Edward (Robbie Jaworski) and Matthew (Rafael Rosell). To keep the family’s image clean, Claudia agrees to Arthur’s pleas but demands a bigger share of the company. Edward notices that the discussion sounds more like a board meeting than a family matter, and Jacqueline (Zsa Zsa Padilla) agrees.

Claudia apologizes, saying, “I just know my worth.” Edward suggests that Vincent should also be involved in the conversation, as he is part of the family too. Claudia then expresses how the situation makes her feel, “I’m hurt more than anyone. Mas mahirap ang sitwasyon ko because I know that Vincent will not atone for his sins.”

8. Claudia forces Vincent to leave the house

Vincent arrives home and sees bags being carried out through the doorway. While he initially thinks Claudia is leaving with Bea, it turns out Claudia intends to kick Vincent out of their house. “Pumayag ako sa gusto ni Dad, to keep up appearances. At hindi ako papayag to stay with you under one roof because I don’t feel safe,” she declares.

“Isasama ko si Bea,” Vincent insists, but Claudia quickly stops him. “Gusto mong ma-involve ang anak mo sa gulo ng kaso mo? You want to uproot her in a house kung saan siya mapoprotektahan at safe siya.” Claudia promises to take care of Bea, while Vincent wonders why she is so eager to immediately drop him as her husband.

9. Claudia insults Vincent and Stella

Claudia invites Stella (Kim Chiu) to join their family dinner with Vincent’s family, but for the wrong reasons. She begins mocking Stella, telling her how she suffered during her marriage to Vincent. “I didn't expect that I'm gonna see the mistress of Vincent in front of my face,” she tells Jacqueline.

She then turns her gaze to Stella. “Kumusta pala pagiging prostitute mo? How much do you earn? What’s your hourly rate?” Vincent interrupts Claudia, who continues to point out how disgusting and nasty Stella is, highlighting her past as an ex-convict due to drug use. Vincent calls her out, but Claudia defends herself. “How are you gonna tell Bea that her new mom is a prostitute?” Stella fights back, threatening Claudia.

10. Claudia's drug dependency

When Bea was only a few months old, Vincent devoted most of his time to his work at Cabrera News, leaving Claudia alone and overwhelmed. Feeling neglected, she began to rebel, which eventually led her down a destructive path into drugs and growing dependency.  One night, Vincent came home from work to find Claudia lounging idly while Bea cried unattended. The moment triggered an emotional breakdown in Claudia, during which she even told her child to shut up.

Vincent’s solution was to send Claudia to rehabilitation. She pleaded with him not to, throwing tantrums as she was taken to the facility. The flashback reminds both of them how dire things once became for Claudia, who is still using drugs in the present. She later asks Vincent to give her the pills, but he discovers that it was Walter who had encouraged her use. Enraged, Claudia lashes out when she sees Vincent dispose of the tablets, insisting she will not return to rehab. “I’m not going back to that hellhole!” she cries, reminding him of the impact it would also have on their child.
