1. The fiery Alegria
At first glance, no one would have guessed she leads a double life. Stella, who goes by the pseudonym Alegria, works as an escort to make a living. One night, after a brief encounter with Vincent (Paulo Avelino), he learns more about her when he coincidentally visits the pub where Stella works and gets the chance to see her perform as the star of the night.
2. Stella stands her ground against Mona
Fresh from her sultry performance, Stella continues her night, preparing for customers who might book her services. While searching for some of her makeup, she asks her colleagues, Anika (Kim Tubiano) and Sugar (Yesh Burce), for help. The two respond mockingly, prompting Stella to lash out. She threatens Sugar and grabs Anika by the hair, forcing Sugar to retreat and return the makeup she had stolen. The confrontation sparks a scene in their dressing room.
Later, Mona (Alma Moreno) arrives to break up the fight, warning Stella that her behavior could hurt the business. She informs Stella that most of her clients have been reassigned to other girls because Stella charges what Mona considers unreasonable fees. Stella protests, insisting that she sets her rates because she deserves fair compensation for her work.
3. Sonya forces her beliefs on Stella
Stella arrives home from work and bumps into Sonya (Lotlot Bustamante). She does not miss the chance to pay Sonya her bills, from rent to utilities. The latter thanks her and eventually says, “Hindi ka ba nababahala? ‘Yung trabaho mo, masama,” adding that Stella’s line of work does not align with religious teachings.
Wondering how bad her job really seems, Stella replies, “Hindi naman ho ako nagnanakaw, hindi naman ho ako pumapatay. Sa katunayan, nagbibigay ligaya nga po ako eh.” Sonya presses further, insisting that what she’s doing is immoral, but Stella takes her remarks lightly. “’Yung kilala ko po kasing Diyos, ’di po yun mapanghusga. Mapagpatawad po ‘yun,” she says, then ends their conversation.
4. Katherine questions Stella about her life choices
Stella’s past continues to bring despair to her family. Katherine (Angelina Cruz) reminds her that when she was detained, it cost them dearly as a family, even leading to the loss of their younger sister, Joy. “Araw-araw napapahiya kami kasi may ate kaming ex-con!” Katherine exclaims, expressing the shame she feels over Stella’s work as an escort.
As their argument escalates, Joseph (Enzo Osorio), who is suffering from a condition, arrives to intervene. With tears in her eyes, Stella pleads with her siblings not to let others’ words control them. “Lahat ng ginagawa ko para sa inyo. Kahit ilako ko ‘yung katawan ko, umaga hanggang gabi, gagawin ko para sa inyo. Para mabuhay kayo.” She assures them that everything she does is for their sake.gagawin ko para sa inyo. 5. Stella's unwavering love for her siblings
Though their current situation pushes the family to the brink, Stella wants Katherine and Joseph to remember that she will never tire of working for their welfare. She urges Joseph to get enough rest to manage his condition and encourages Katherine to do her best in her studies.
After Katherine and Joseph leave for their room, Stella bursts into tears, crying her heart out. She then grabs her wallet and gazes at a picture of her younger sister, Joy, from when she was an infant—the sister they tragically lost when Stella was captured by the authorities.
6. Stella worries about her family
When Stella was held captive for the alleged use of drugs, she spent a long time in jail, leaving Katherine and Joseph in the care of their aunt. Despite hoping that Joseph, Katherine, and Joy were well looked after, her hope crumbled when she noticed bruises on their arms and demanded to know who was responsible. Katherine and Joseph remained silent, and tears welled up in Stella’s eyes.
“Sabihin n’yo kung ano ‘yung ginawa ni Auntie Linda. Tawagin n’yo siya, papuntahin n’yo siya dito, kakausapin ko,” she urged. But the two reassured her not to worry, insisting they were alright. “Makakalaya na si ate, konting tiis na lang. Magsasama tayo ulit, hindi na tayo maghihiwalay.”
However, when she asked about Joy, Stella received devastating news.
“Ate, sorry. Nawawala na si Joy,” Katherine revealed. Stella sobbed, overwhelmed with despair upon learning that Joy had gone missing while under their aunt’s care. “Hindi namin siya makita.” She cried in anguish, furious that there was nothing she could do at that moment.
7. Vincent convinces Stella to serve as his alibi
As he gets to know Stella better, Vincent comes up with the idea of having her serve as his alibi on the night Walter (Sam Milby) died, offering her money in return. “Suspect ako sa isang murder case. Kailangan mong sabihin sa mga pulis na magkasama tayo buong gabi. I need you to be my alibi,” he says, adding that he did not harm Walter that night.
Stella finds the idea absurd. “Kung may sabit ka, ’wag kang mandadamay ng iba. Nakulong na ako dati, alam ko ’yung galawan ng mga pulis. Papaniwalaan lang nila kung anong gusto nilang paniwalaan.” She swears she has no intention of going back to prison and leaving her family again. Despite this, Vincent persuades her, presenting the offer of one million pesos, making Stella pause and think deeply about the decision.
8. Stella confronts Vincent
After being bombarded by the press and forced to admit that he and Stella were involved in a romantic relationship, Vincent vents his outrage at her. He explains that he has a wife and child, and that her actions could affect Walter’s case.
Stella responds that, given her reputation and source of income, no one would even dare believe her words. “Sorry, Vincent, ah. Inisip ko lang kasi ‘yung katiting na dignidad na meron ako dahil ayokong ipagsigawan sa lahat na pokpok ako.” She explains that her life is just as complicated as Vincent’s and that she has a family to support. “Hindi porket bayaran mo ako, hawak mo na ‘yung buhay ko.” She leaves Vincent, reminding him of the payment he promised.
9. Katherine engages into a heated argument with Stella
With their neighbors mocking Stella for becoming Vincent’s mistress, Katherine confronts them, trying to defend her sister from judgment. Later, seeing Katherine with messy hair, Stella asks what happened. Katherine wonders if Stella ever tires of bringing shame to their family. “Pilit naming tinatanggap ’yang trabaho mo kasi kailangan. Pero pati naman ‘yung pagiging kabit?!”
Stella reassures her that Katherine need not worry, since it is Stella—not her—who is all over social media. “Hindi mo alam kung anong hirap ang pinagdaanan ko ngayong araw na ’to.” She cries, explaining that she had no choice but to be a side chick because it helps meet their financial needs.
Auntie Linda then arrives, delighted to hear that Stella is involved with a wealthy man. Her presence prompts Stella to mock her, especially recalling the day Joseph was rushed to the hospital and Linda refused to help.
10. Stella clashes with Jacqueline
After seeing the news in which Stella revealed her secret relationship with Vincent, Jacqueline (Zsa Zsa Padilla) decides to pay her a visit at her workplace. Jacqueline tells Stella that she wants to know the whole truth about her and Vincent—whether she is really his girlfriend or just another woman.
“Oo, madam. Kerida, side chick, kulasisi, escabeche. All of the above,” Stella responds, amusing Jacqueline with how proudly she owns it.
Jacqueline follows up with another question. “Paano kayo nagkakilala ng anak ko?” Stella explains that Vincent obviously became a regular customer. Jacqueline is unconvinced, as it seems unlikely for Vincent to frequent a bar regularly given that he has a family. “Hindi mo kami kilala,” Jacqueline warns. Stella immediately fires back, “Hindi mo rin ako kilala.”
11. Vincent causes trouble for Stella
Continuing her usual night routine at work, Stella attends to her customers. When the time limit ends for one of a client’s private bookings, he suddenly pulls her down and harasses her. Luckily, Vincent rushes in and hits the man, causing a scene inside the pub.
Later, Stella drags Vincent out of the premises. “Mawawalan pa ako ng trabaho sa’yo eh. Bakit mo ba kasi ginawa ’yun? Kaya ko naman ‘yung sarili ko.” Vincent remains furious, while Stella tries to calm him down and prevent him from acting on his anger.
12. Money talks
Moments after Vincent kisses her in front of his family, Stella slaps him and questions why he did that, since it was not something they had agreed on beforehand. “Stella, I have to do what I needed to do. Dinaan ko na lang sa gulatan para wala na silang masabi, okay?” Vincent conveys. However, Stella is unbothered by what others might think of her. “Paldo-paldo na sana ako dun sa tatay mo, pinigilan mo pa ako. Bakit mo ba ako pinapakialaman?!”
Stella attempts to go back to where Jacqueline and Arthur (John Arcilla) are, but Vincent stops her. “Pangarap ko ‘yun, ‘yung masampal ng pera! Napapanood ko sa mga teleserye ‘yun eh,” she reasons out, to which Vincent offers her double the amount they intended to give. Stella explains how important money is to her, in contrast to how rich people like Vincent use it.
13. Stella vs. Claudia
Bumping into Stella at Vincent’s parents’ house, Claudia (Sofia Andres) deliberately invites her to join the family dinner. Unbeknownst to them, the gesture only fuels their growing animosity. Claudia mocks Stella for being Vincent’s mistress, even criticizing her husband’s negative traits. “Emotionally distant, warfreak, pinagtiisan ko ’yan ng maraming taon.”
Vincent tries to stop Claudia, but she goes as far as questioning Stella’s job and earnings as an escort, pressing on how many men she spends time with every night and where she finds the audacity to ruin families, calling her derogatory names. Stella can no longer contain herself and fires back. “Tigil-tigilan mo ’yang bibig mo ah. Pasalamat kayo, wala kayo sa teritoryo ko. Dahil kapag nando’n, makikilala n’yo kung sino’ng kaharap n’yo ngayon.” She glares straight at Claudia. “‘Yung tabas ng dila mo? May araw din ’yan sa’kin,” she warns.
14. Stella defends Vincent from the allegations
During her dance rehearsals with Mona, who is teaching her more about facial expressions, Stella asks for a quick break. Anika and Sugar approach her, showing a deepfake video of Vincent that has gone viral, in which he appears to admit to killing Walter.
The clip alarms Mona. “Nakakatakot naman pala ’tong jowa mo, eh! Ang lakas ng loob para aminin,” she tells Stella. But Stella remains unshaken by the viral video. “Naniwala naman kayo? ’Di n’yo ba nakikita? Ako nga, isang tingin ko pa lang, alam ko nang maraming mali diyan eh.” She points out that certain parts of Vincent’s face in the video do not match him.
15. Stella aids a drunken Vincent
Irritated by Vincent’s nightly presence at the bar, Stella accompanies him as he, slightly drunk, vents his despair to everyone, lamenting that he has never done anything right in his life. He also defends himself regarding the edited video circulating online, insisting that he was not the one speaking in it—and revealing that he killed Walter.
“Hoy, hindi mo naman kailangang laging sumisigaw. Hindi naman kailangan laging galit. Ganyan mo ba solusyunan ang problema mo?” Stella reminds Vincent that he can approach his problems calmly. She encourages him to be more patient in uncovering the real killer of Walter.
