Our primetime lineup is about to get even more intense with the upcoming action-drama series “Blood vs Duty,” starring Barbie Imperial, Baron Geisler, Bela Padilla, Gerald Anderson and Richard Gutierrez. They shared more about what viewers can expect from the story during Kapamilya Chat’s Grand Fans Day.
The stellar cast joined their beloved supporters in a series of fun games. In the first challenge, called “Dugtungan Mo,” each artist was paired with a fan to form a team. The mechanics were simple: they were given a word and had to create a compound phrase. The last word of each phrase would then be used to form the next one, continuing the chain until a pair could no longer come up with a word. The team that failed to provide the next word was eliminated.
For their first prompt, the word was “bag.” Richard’s pair responded with “bagpack.” Linking from “pack,” Bela’s tandem came up with “packed lunch.” Building on “lunch,” Barbie eagerly said “lunch break,” and the round intensified when Baron added “break up.” The chain continued with “up down,” “downstairs,” “stairway,” “way up,” and “up away.” Unfortunately, Richard’s duo couldn’t come up with the next word, which led to their elimination.
In the second round, Barbie and her fan, stumbled when they couldn’t bind something to “wreck,” resulting in their exit. Bela, Gerald, and Baron then went head-to-head in the next level. It was a tight showdown between Baron and Bela, with the latter pushing for more complex compound words compared to Baron’s answers. In the end, despite starting with a fresh prompt, Baron and his partner did not advance to the succeeding stage.
Gerald and Bela faced off in the last round, showing quick thinking as they tossed words back and forth, impressing everyone in the studio. The game went on without slowing down, so both were declared winners of the challenge.
The fun didn’t stop as the cast moved on to their next game, “Fans vs Artists.” Another group of supporters joined the stage to face off against the stars. The objective was to pass along a word by writing its letters on each player’s back. The fans went first, but confusion arose during the game, causing them to miss the correct word: “gun.”
Using their own strategy of writing the letters one by one, Barbie, Baron, Bela, Gerald and Richard quickly guessed “blood.” They had no trouble continuing, correctly identifying the next word, “duty,” and secured the win against the fans.
Catch “Blood vs Duty,” streaming on iWant starting April 4, and airing on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL) beginning April 6.
