Greta (Lorna Tolentino) admits the real reason behind her fury toward Wendy (Janice de Belen) in the March 4 episode of “Roja.”
As she contemplates whether to surrender to the authorities, Greta reflects on the root causes of her actions and the people she hurt during the siege, including Wendy. She approaches Wendy to talk, “Wendy, ang dami nang nasaktan at napahamak dahil sa’kin, ikaw, si Chief Ben (Levi Ignacio), at si Olsen (Kyle Echarri). Hindi ko alam kung makakaya mo pa akong paniwalaan, pero patawarin mo ako sa lahat ng nagawa ko sa’yo.” Greta apologizes, guilt written all over her face.
Wendy reiterates that she does not know either what to believe about Greta’s actions. She recalls the moment Emil (Joel Torre) revealed how Jericho (Floyd Tena) had ordered him not to harm any hostages, except Wendy, following Greta’s instructions as the mastermind. “Ang ‘di ko lang maintindihan, matagal mo na pala akong gustong mawala.” She confronts Greta, “Ikaw mismo yung nagbilin na walang masasaktan maliban sa akin. Bakit?”
Greta explains that it did not come from anger but from fear. “Alam ko, mahal ka pa rin ni Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing). Ikaw ang totoong kaagaw ko.” She adds, as Magnus had previously been involved in an affair with Wendy. “Nung mahuli ko kayo, kinimkim ko ang lahat. Hindi ko kayo hinarap, dahil baka ikaw ang piliin niya.” Greta reasons, confessing that she had asked Wendy to go to jail instead of her as a discreet form of revenge. “Dahil ayokong mawala sa akin si Magnus.”
Wendy admits that what she did to Greta was wrong. “Nagkaroon kami ng relasyon ni Magnus habang mag-asawa kayo,” she even mentions that she tried her best to stay away from Magnus. Tears begin to flow down Greta’s face, “Lumayo ka, pero nanatili kang kasama ng asawa ko dito [sa puso].” She further reveals that Magnus was the reason Wendy was released from jail after just 10 years instead of serving her full 15-year sentence. Before Wendy can respond, Magnus appears from behind, holding Greta as they walk away from her.
