Olsen (Kyle Echarri) fills Wendy (Janice de Belen) in with more details about Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) and Ayen’s (Yassi Pressman) affair in the March 2 episode of Roja.
When Wendy unexpectedly joins Olsen to check if Greta (Lorna Tolentino) is hiding in one of their properties, she presses him further about how he knew of the place she might be in. It turns out that it was one of the secret hideouts Magnus and Ayen used during their affair. Olsen knows about this because Magnus once took him along, seeking his help.
A flashback ensues: during a car ride to the rest house, Olsen observes Magnus and Ayen in the backseat, worry written all over Ayen’s face. When Magnus asks what’s wrong, Ayen admits that she does not like it when he tries to hide her from everyone. “Magnus kasi, sobrang isolated dito. Ang layo-layo sa lahat. Pakiramdam ko para akong isang nakakadiring sikreto na kailangang itago.” Magnus tries to ease her worries, assuring her that their hiding is only temporary.
He further promises Ayen, especially since they were expecting a child at the time. When they arrive at the rest house, Magnus continues to woo her, “Let’s just enjoy this beautiful house in our little corner of the world,” he says, drawing Ayen in as they enter. Olsen, however, is left behind in the car, not truly happy with the entire situation.
In the present, Olsen admits to Wendy that obeying Magnus was wrong. “Mali yung ginagawa nina Ayen at Sir Magnus, at hinayaan kong mangyari ’yon. Kaya nga nagalit sa akin si Liam (Donny Pangilinan). Ilang taon kaming hindi nag-usap, diba? Dahil yun doon.” Olsen adds that there was nothing he could do at the time. Later on, he also reveals how he once overheard Greta and Magnus arguing about the rest house.
Back then, Greta tried to convince Magnus to sell the rest house, unaware that Ayen was living there. Magnus refused, reasoning that another structure might be built once it was sold to a new owner. “Sikreto natin ’to. ’Wag ka mag-alala. Maitatago natin ’to.” This secret Magnus referred to still confuses Olsen to this day. That’s why he is firm in believing that Greta is currently hiding in the rest house, since no one apart from him and Magnus’ family knew about the place.
