The truth about Claudia's (Sofia Andres) drug addiction was finally revealed in the March 27 episode of “The Alibi.”
Vincent (Paulo Avelino) and Stella (Kim Chiu) head to Walter's (Sam Milby) house, where they find the lights on and an intruder lurking around. Vincent tries to chase down who it might be, only to discover Claudia, clad in a hoodie as she discreetly moves through. “Anong ginagawa mo dito sa bahay ni Walter?” Vincent asks.
Claudia stays silent, but Vincent presses on, this time trying to see what she is hiding behind her back. As he reaches for it, to his shock, he uncovers a stash of pills his wife is about to consume. The moment pulls him back to when Claudia once tried using them, back when their daughter Bea (Ayesha Bajeta) was still an infant.
During that time, Vincent finds Claudia lounging around while their child cries her heart out, with Claudia not even trying to calm her down. Claudia attempts to hide the drugs she has been consuming, and Vincent looks at her, completely fed up. Knowing about her addiction, Vincent reminds her how many times he has given her a chance to stop, only to find her returning to it again and again.
“Vincent, mag-isa ako dito. I got so bored!” Claudia reasons, which Vincent finds absurd, especially that she would do it in front of their child. Claudia tries to convince him she will not do it anymore, pleading for one last chance. But as she hears the cry of their child, Claudia screams in frustration. Vincent has no choice but to send her to rehab, promising to take care of Bea for the time being.
In the present, Vincent cannot believe Claudia is using the pills again. She screams at him when he refuses to give them to her. “So si Walter nagsusupply sa’yo nito?” Vincent asks, before pouring the stash down the drain. “Enough of this, Claudia. Dadalhin kita sa facility,” he declares. Claudia protests, saying she does not want to return to what she calls her hellhole. “Magpapakamatay ako pag binalik mo ako sa rehab. Mawawalan ng nanay yung anak mo, and your conscience will eat you forever.”
Vincent tries to knock some sense into her. “Claudia, ginagawa ko ’to for Bea, ginagawa ko ’to para sa anak natin! Think of Bea, okay?” Claudia pleads for another chance, but Vincent refuses to budge.
