Vincent (Paulo Avelino) defends Stella (Kim Chiu) against Claudia's (Sofia Andres) insults in the March 26 episode of “The Alibi”
With Stella joining the Cabrera family dinner, tension fills the dining area. They cast judgmental looks at her, noticing that she clearly does not practice proper table etiquette. When Bea (Ayesha Bajeta) finishes her food and retreats to the living room, Claudia gains enough courage to mock Stella.
Claudia asks if it is Stella’s first time eating lobster, to which Matthew (Rafael Rosell) adds that she probably does not have access to such meals since they are expensive, or something Stella could not afford. Locking eyes with Claudia, Stella drops her utensils and begins feasting on the lobster with her bare hands, while everyone watches as she openly flirts with Vincent.
“So, Stella and Vincent, anong meron?” Claudia asks, as Matthew continues to mock her, while Arthur’s (John Arcilla) stare intimidates him. “Alam mong pupunta si Bea, dinala mo pa yung babaeng ’yan dito,” Claudia adds. Stella defends herself, revealing that it was Vincent’s parents who first brought her to the house.
Claudia, still raging, says, “I guess you’re here para makilala namin yung kabit ng asawa ko.” Jacqueline (Zsa Zsa Padilla) tries to stop her, but Claudia remains unfazed. “Buong akala ko, Vincent was so busy with Cabrera News. Wala ngang oras ’yan para sa pamilya niya, yun pala, busy siyang makipaglandian sa ibang babae.”
Calling Vincent emotionally distant and warfreak, Claudia conveys how much she had to endure while being with him. I didn't expect that I'm gonna see the mistress of Vincent in front of my face. Kumusta pala pagiging prostitute?” She questions Stella further about her line of work, and this time Vincent intervenes.
“Hindi ka ba talaga titigil?” he asks, but Claudia remains unstoppable, hurling more derogatory terms at Stella. Vincent rises from his seat, “Claudia! Wala kang alam sa buhay niya kaya wala kang karapatang husgahan siya. At kung makapagsalita ka parang wala kang bahid ng kasalanan ah.” Vincent loses his temper, and Arthur finally speaks up, “’Wag n’yo ilabas ’yang mga ugaling imburnal n’yo dito. Kung hindi kayo titigil, lumayas kayo.”
Before leaving, Stella has final words to say. “Pasalamat kayo na wala kayo sa teritoryo ko. Dahil kapag nandoon, makikilala n’yo kung sino ang kaharap ninyo ngayon.” She then looks at Claudia, “At ikaw, ’yang tabas ng dila mo, may araw din ’yan sa’kin. Hindi nga lang ngayon.” Stella walks away, with Vincent following her.
