After speaking up about her abusive marriage to Anton (Jameson Blake), Mel’s (Sue Ramirez) life and career continue to be affected, as her dream brand, Grace & Glam, has decided to suspend her ambassadorship.
Refusing to take the word of Reema’s staff, who came just to deliver the unfortunate news, Mel decides to call Reema herself. She argues that her contract should last for a full year and questions the so-called “scandal,” which they only describe as solely involving her but should really be badly affecting Anton’s reputation for being the abuser.
Reema explains that the owners of Grace & Glam are close to the Montenegro family, and while she wants to fight for Mel, her influence isn’t enough to overturn their decision to kick out Mel.
Realizing there’s nothing more she can do, Mel breaks down in tears, remembering her younger years when she first fell in love with the brand and drew inspiration from it to pursue a career in fashion styling.
Not long after, Anton contacts her, wearing a wicked smile as he learns of Mel’s loss. Summoning a bit of courage, she fires back, reminding him that he lost his show—but he confidently replies that he’ll get his career back, even more easily than she can.
Noticing Mel’s silence, Anton threatens her again, wanting to ensure that she’ll never recover her career and reputation, leaving nothing in her hands at all.
Emotionally exhausted, Mel ends the call. She talks to herself in the mirror in an attempt to gain a sense of calmness.
As she thinks of refusing to give up, the words of Tim (Dingdong Bahan) and Tom (Patrick Ramirez) echo in her mind about releasing the footage she has of Anton’s abuse of her.
